Day 1 of the 21-Day Sugar Detox

Day 1 of The 21-Day Sugar Detox (21DSD), and I am feeling a bit congested. We had a storm blow through over the weekend bringing more ice and snow, which could be contributing to my sinus issues. I’m not taking any chances, though. I’m sipping on some chicken broth I had in the fridge, my recipe, of course, and I just put another batch of broth in my Instant Pot®. This time it is beef bones with the leftover bones from the pork roast I made this weekend and a random steak bone I found in the freezer.

When the broth is done, I will add some to a pint-sized canning jar to take with me to work tomorrow. The rest will go in quart jars for the fridge.

For dinner I plan to have some pork roast tacos with some of my roasted tomato salsa. Hopefully, the salsa will help open my sinuses and clear out my head.I already have several lunch containers prepped with leftovers from the weekend (21DSD compliant) so no need to prep a big meal tonight, which is good because I am not in the mood. I might just grab my jammies and cuddle up on the couch with a book or two this evening while the beef broth cooks.

Or I might make more of my salsa since we demolished the last batch from this weekend. Either way, I plan to have a low key evening and an early bedtime.

Day 1 has been pretty good, fairly uneventful. Bring on Day 2.
